A morning session with Belgian glamor in Paris. There are two teammates in the final of the 5,000 meters. Both John Heymans and Isaac Kimeli surprised with a strong 3rd place in their series. Eliott Crestan continued that trend and dominated in his 800 meters. There was no bad news for the high jumper Thomas Carmoy and the other Belgians.

Heymans did this thanks to a “perfectly executed race plan” in 14’08″33, Kimeli showed himself as fresh as a violin with a time of 13’52″18.

The best Belgian runner started on that track from row 1 in heat 1. A number that Crestan would not let go.
Our partner was in the lead from start to finish. He was constantly looking over his shoulder and getting the upper hand. He crossed the finish line in control in 1’45″51, the 8th fastest time of all participants. That’s good for his semi-final.
Tibo De Smet in Pieter Sisk also trying to get in front of the heat, but fell shortly after 800 meters. Sisk is particularly disappointed, “because it only made a difference of 4 tenths and I was cut off.” The two Belgians must go to the rematches.
I tried to get through the whole run Thomas Carmoy to qualify for the Olympic final in the high jump.
Carmoy opened flat at 2.15 metres. 5 centimeters higher he needed two attempts. Finally, his adventure ended at 2.24 meters, because he broke his ankle on his first attempt. For example, it is not in the final, unlike the Olympics Tamberi and Barsham.
