ND MEP Fredi Beleris says he is relieved after his release from prison.
In particular, speaking to ERT, Mr. Beleris said that “I am happy, but I cannot forget the injustice that was done to me all this time and the flagrant violation of the will of the people of Heimarra and this coup d’état carried out against me by the Albanians principles, feelings are mixed”
He added that for him now the real legal battle begins. As he said “I will appeal to all levels of Albanian justice and then to Strasbourg where I believe I will be vindicated”.
In addition, he emphasized that “we have already appealed to the Supreme Court of Albania, immediately after that there is an appeal to the Constitutional Court and after all the decisions in Albania are final, then I will go to Strasbourg”.
“I consider this decision to be completely fair. It was a hoax, it was a set-up and it has to be exposed, no matter how long it takes,” Freddy Belleris pointed out.
As for when he will settle in Brussels, he said “I will sit down to see my family in a few days and immediately after that I will be at TIF. And after TIF I will be Brussels”.
