The second stage of the Swimming World Cup with the participation of Belarusian athletes, who compete in neutral status, ended in Incheon, South Korea.
On the final day of the competition, Belarus’ Anastasia Shkurdai finished second in the 200 m backstroke. Another Belarusian, Alina Zmushko, came third in the 50 m breaststroke. The winner of the men’s 100m breast, Ilya Shimanovich, could not repeat his success in the 200m, he finished in eighth place. Another of our swimmers, Anastasia Kuleshova, took sixth place in the 100 m butterfly.
Let’s remember that Ilya Shimanovich won gold and silver earlier at the World Cup level in Incheon, and Alina Zmushko won another silver. Thus, Belarusians have won five awards in South Korea – gold, three silver and bronze. The third and final stage of the 2024 Swimming World Cup will be held in Singapore from 31 October to 2 November.
