The Belarusian Railways has appointed more than 230 additional trains to transport passengers during the New Year and Christmas holidays, the press center of the Belarusian Railways reports.
Thus, in addition to the additional trains already scheduled for the New Year and Christmas holidays, about 90 trains of interregional and international lines will run from December 22 to January 9.
Taking into account the increase in passenger traffic, the largest number of trains is planned for December 22, 25, 29 and 30, as well as January 2 and 7.
In interregional service, trains will run to the most popular destinations among passengers: Minsk – Brest, Minsk – Gomel, Minsk – Vitebsk, Minsk – Grodno, Minsk – Mogilev, Minsk – Pinsk, Vitebsk – Brest, Gomel – Brest, Grodno – Orsha – Krychev, Grodno – Orsha – Vitebsk, Kommunary – Orsha – Grodno.
In international traffic, in cooperation with JSC Russian Railways, additional trains have been assigned for the passage of organized groups and individual passengers on the routes: Minsk – Moscow, Minsk – St. Petersburg, Brest – Moscow, Polotsk – Moscow, Kaliningrad – Moscow, Kaliningrad – Saint Petersburg.
Also, depending on the demand for transportation, the number of seats for passengers on regular trains will be increased.
