Today they are in the capital Minsk with about 50,000. Less than in previous demonstrations where more than 100,000 demonstrators were counted. But still a large crowd that is not deterred by the riot police that are present en masse, and the water cannons that are ready. Several squares, streets and metro stations have been cordoned off, as has the presidential palace, which is guarded by heavily armed police.
