The Belarusian military fired flare guns on the border with Poland, Anna Michalskaya, a spokeswoman for the Polish Border Service, told PAP.

“In Krynki (near the border with Belarus) shots from a flare pistol were heard and seen … This type of provocation happens all the time,” Mikhalskaya said.

According to her, on Sunday night, five citizens of Yemen were detained at the border, who were trying to illegally get into Poland. They flew to Belarus from Russia.

According to her, 1.1 thousand attempts of illegal border crossing have already been recorded this year, while not a single case was recorded during the same period last year.
