“We still hope that the hot heads will cool down and, among other things, evaluate their business interests in Belarus. If it harms our companies and businesses, then we have no right to harm Western companies? We have every right to compensate for this loss. A huge number of foreign companies work in the Republic of Belarus. There are a lot of companies from countries that have a very unfriendly policy towards Belarus – they are Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and unfortunately also Ukraine since recently, “Golovchenko told Belarus 1 in an interview.
CONTEXT:
May 23 Belarus forced to land in Minsk Ryanair ‘s 126 – passenger flight from Athens to Vilnius. Alexander Lukashenko, the leader of Belarus, has personally ordered the interception of the plane.
The purpose of the operation was to detain one of the passengers: a member of the staff of the Belarusian opposition leader Svyatlan Cihanouska, one of the founders of the opposition media “Nexta” Roman Protasevich.
