Former head coach of the Soligorsk Shakhtar, Krasnodar and Kuban Sergey Tashuyev commented on the reaction of Russian specialists to the championship of Belarus.
– Now the championship of Belarus is broadcast in Russia. Many specialists, coaches and former football players speak poorly about the championship. Do you understand why they say that?
– I perceive their statements only in Russian major. People who have risen to a certain level have been there, then have descended and look down upon today’s things.
They need to pay attention to themselves and think about who they are, where they came from. I was very unpleasant to hear such reviews about the championship of Belarus, especially since I myself worked there.
In my opinion, today Belarusian football is at a level higher than Russian. Why do I think so? So look what a lot of money you invested in football in Russia, and what little money in Belarus. At the same time, there is not much difference in sport.
Yes, in Russia, the selection of players, media coverage, stadiums is slightly better, but not by much. The Russian Championship is not as strong as the money invested in it. You see how the Russian clubs “successfully” played in European competition. Not a single team reached the playoffs.
