“If someone thinks that I was going to die, calm down. Calm down. This is nothing more than idle reasoning in instant messengers and Telegram channels. Adenovirus or what was there? Adenovirus. Nothing,” Lukashenka said during a meeting on topical issues healthcare.
The dictator also added that he allegedly did not have the opportunity to be treated due to trips to Moscow, Grodno and Gomel, so the disease progressed.
“You will still suffer with me for a very long time,” he added, addressing the Belarusian officials.
Lukashenka’s illness
It is worth noting that on May 9, at the parade in Moscow, Lukashenka was noticed with a bandaged hand. Then rumors appeared in the media that the dictator fell ill.
Later, journalists wrote that on May 13 he was brought to the presidential clinic near Minsk. He appeared in public only on May 15, which is absolutely uncharacteristic for him.
