Belarus State Media Shows Exhibition Featuring Sledgehammer Inscribed “To Alexander Grigoryevich”

The state media of Belarus, showing an exhibition in the corridors of the Palace of “Independence” of Alexander Lukashenko, published a photo of a sledgehammer with the inscription: “To Alexander Grigoryevich.”

Source: “Our Niva”

Details: It is reported that the sledgehammer is in a violin case and is very similar to the one that was recently donated to one of the museums in Belarus by the commander of one of the Wagner PMC detachments.

On a sledgehammer from the exhibition, you can make out a gift inscription beginning with the words “To Alexander Grigorievich …”. What kind of exhibit this is, the state media report does not specify.

What came before:

  • On November 13, 2022, it became known that a Russian citizen was brutally executed without trial or investigation by tying his head with tape to concrete and hitting him with a sledgehammer from above. The leader of “PMC Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin hinted that this was the work of his mercenaries.
  • Later, Prigozhin offered to hand over the sledgehammer to the European Parliament in response to the possible recognition of his “PMC” as a terrorist organization. A video of the hammer was released, also in a blue-lined violin case.
