“Belarus President Lukashenko Warns of Western Countries’ Preparations for War”

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated today to the participants of a meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization that the Western countries are moving towards an escalation of tensions and openly admit that they are preparing for war, TASS reported.

Lukashenko pointed out that despite falling living standards and deteriorating economic prospects for European countries, the West is moving towards escalation and preparing for war. He noted that Ukraine remains the continent’s central arena of confrontation and battleground.

The president of Belarus called claims that the Ukrainian counter-offensive had already begun “disinformation” and dismissed the possibility of a counter-attack.

He emphasized that it is necessary to develop a new document that will serve as a basis for negotiations on settling the conflict, BTA reported.
