Belarus plans to grow 17,000 tons of fish in 2023. About it stated Deputy Head of the Department of the Main Directorate of Intensification of Livestock and Poultry Farming of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Olga BOREISHA.
“We have big plans. For 2023, it is planned to produce 17,000 tons of fish under the state program, including 1,000 tons of valuable fish species such as salmon,” the representative of the department specified.
Olga Boreisha explained that the increase in production will be carried out mainly due to reaching the design capacity available for industrial fish breeding complexes. It is also planned to build new modern industrial complexes until 2025.
