The military doctrine also refers to Ukraine. In particular, Belarus believes that the “joint West” provoked an “armed conflict” in Ukraine and created a reason for tension near the borders of Belarus in the near future.

“Increased support for and obstruction of peaceful settlement creates the conditions for gradually increasing and expanding the number of partners at the expense of Poland and other NATO countries. These trends increase the likelihood that the Republic of Belarus will become involved in an international armed conflict“, the document says.
