The Belarusian Ministry of Defense made the announcement on its Telegram channel on Wednesday (4/5/2022), stressing that the drills are not directed against any country.
According to the statement, the aim of the exercise was to assess the readiness of troops to respond to a “crisis situation” quickly.

Soldiers engaged in training must operate in unfamiliar territory in a “rapidly changing environment.”

“The scope of the exercises will gradually increase, allowing Minsk to check its military capabilities both against threats on the ground and in the air,” the ministry said.

In addition, special emphasis will be placed on material and logistical support.
