Expected to join their club clubs in Saudi Arabia, Youcef Belaili and Djamel Benlamri did not take the special flights organized by their clubs to transport them from Algeria.
Al Ahli and Al Shabab clubs have said in statements that the players have missed their flights and that the leaders will take disciplinary action against them.
It is not clear whether it was the players who deliberately chose not to take the flights in question or if they are having administrative difficulties.
