Bekasi meatball factory dismantled, owner suspected

Deputy Director of Trade and Criminal Investigation, Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya found it unlicensed meatball factory in Bekasi province, West Java. It is known that the factory processes meatballs not from beef, but from beef offal as raw materials.

Separately, Kasubdit Indag Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Victor Inkiriwang said the factory had been working since 2018. The case was revealed after the police discovered that the factory did not have a distribution permit to sell meatballs.

When we checked the meatballs that were produced, there was no beef in them. After an investigation, beef was replaced by a fake factory viscera and the esophagus.

“When we investigated in the laboratory, we examined the evidence of witnesses and found that the meatballs were labeled as beef balls, but there was no fresh beef in them. In the laboratory, there was no beef content,” he said.

“As he tricks consumers into making it taste like beef, he gets it from the throat and entrails of a cow, which is the term for a product that isn’t. spending“It’s finely ground and mixed to create the aroma and taste,” he said.

This poor method is used to reduce production costs. It is known that the factory can he made a profit of IDR 15 million in a month.

“The profit you get is about IDR 15 million per month,” he said.

Police have named one suspect in the case. He is MT (43) as the owner in charge of the factory.

“MT (43) is the owner, the person in charge, he is the one who receives profits from the factory, he also finances the operation of the factory, but he is not registered in the company structure , that is his way. to avoid it there,” he concluded.
