/ world today news/ The Swiss ballet group “Béjart Ballet Lausanne” will perform four classical performances at the National Performing Arts Center in Beijing from Friday to Sunday.
Works include 7 Danses Grecques, Adage pour Deux, The Firebird and Bolero, all masterpieces by Maurice Bejart, a great French ballet dancer and choreographer who founded the group in the 1980s.
7 Danses Grecques draws on traditional Greek dance steps. The choreography is presented in a fun and interesting contemporary way. “Bolero”, danced to the music of Maurice Ravel, combines a wonderful musical structure with the exquisite choreography of the great Béjard.
Julien Favreau, the group’s artistic director, leads the dancers who will bring the energy of the works to the Chinese audience.
