The Beirut Heritage Association organized a ceremony in honor of the radio and theater director Muhammad Karim, in Dar Al-Nadwa – Al-Hamra, in the presence of a crowd of interested people. A documentary short film on Karim’s book “In Mind, Beirut” , published in 2005 by the Arab House of Sciences, prepared and presented by researcher Nabil Shehadeh, member of the association.
During the celebration, I wrote a speech to the President of the Lebanese Center for Heritage of the Lebanese American University in Beirut LAU, the poet Henry Zughaib, and another correspondent to the academic specializing in linguistics, Dr. Nader Siraj of Paris, about how Karim he approached popular literature far from exaggeration and disgrace, while the former minister, Muhammad al-Machnouk, recalled some memories of his work, with Karim, when he launched the live broadcast on Radio Lebanon.
As for the celebrant, he addressed the new generation of media professionals, with sincere advice after fifty years of experience working in the field of media in all its forms, and invited them to “commit themselves to media literature, which it is a message before it becomes a profession, and arm yourself with knowledge and skills for its diversity ”.
