Beirut Club qualifies for the semi-finals of the Doha Championship (web)
The Lebanese Beirut First Club booked the first semi-final tickets in the Doha Friendly Basketball Championship, with its second victory in the first group competitions at the expense of the Iraqi Degla, with a score of 98-79.
The first quarter ended with the Iraqi team leading 22-14, before the Lebanese team raised the slogan of steadfastness and scored 20 points in the Tigris basket, compared to 13 points for the latter, so the first half ended with the Tigris leading 35-34.
The one-point difference continued into the third quarter, which ended 24-24, making the score 59-58 in favor of Degla. However, Beirut players rose up in the fourth quarter and advanced by 19 points, ending the match with a score of 79-98.
Beirut raised its score with this victory to 5 points, and Iraqi Tigris ranks at the bottom of the group with 3 points.
