“Being a volunteer means dedicating one’s free time to the service of others” is the economic and political letter of the PACA

Every year on 5 December, International Volunteer Day celebrates the commitment of all those who work in volunteering.

It was in New York, in 1985, that the UN (United Nations) decided to highlight the action of volunteers, hence this day dedicated to them.

“Being a volunteer means dedicating one’s free time by putting one’s energies and skills at the service of others. But it’s not just a one-day party. It is also a way to promote the work and potential of volunteers in various fields, whether in economic, social, heritage and memory development, at local, departmental, national and even international level.
This action provides an opportunity to highlight the many actions of all volunteers, to present their associations and to encourage them to engage in the various volunteering activities, in order to share their knowledge, their knowledge.
For example, know that in France more than three quarters of associations are run by volunteers. Volunteering, whatever it is, has no age and extends from the youngest to the elderly”.
