Beijing Welcomes In-Store Today at Apple Sessions Hosted By Local Creators – EzAnime.net

Today at Apple, creative sessions are returning to Beijing with in-store energy that people love. Starting this month, customers can visit the new Forum on Apple Sanlitun and hear from local artists, photographers, musicians and developers.

The Beijing Creative Stories series, entitled “One Capital City, Thousands of Wonders” (free translation) will run from April 16 to June 6 both on Apple Sanlitun and online, for visitors unable to make the trip. 12 courses will be organized by local creators and will highlight how tradition and modernity come together to form a unique environment for creativity.

Apple says it has worked with 16 artists to make the series possible. There will be 10 in-store sessions, including a light and shadow photography lab, an art lab, a music lab, and an apps lab. Online, artist Big Orange and Mars Radio Band will join Apple creative professionals to teach via Webex.

Deirdre O’Brien, Senior Vice President of Retail + People, said:

We are very excited to join forces with a strong roster of artists to bring Today at Apple courses back to the amazing new Apple Sanlitun. Chinese customers are excited about Today at Apple courses, and we look forward to resuming courses at Today at Apple stores in more countries and cities as local health conditions improve.

Apple provided more details on some of the highlights of the session (automatic translation):

Explore and develop traditional skills in the App Lab

At the App Lab, participants will discuss the ins and outs of traditional techniques with Sun Yong, the Tenon and Tenon app designer, and choose a favorite traditional craft to transform their ideas into an app prototype via Keynote.

A reduced schedule of Today at Apple sessions returned to mainland China last August, and Virtual Studio events were held to celebrate the Chinese New Year, but this new series will mark the first time Apple Sanlitun has had the opportunity to host world-class sessions in your new home. The store was completely rebuilt and reopened in July 2020.

If you are in Beijing and want to register for online or in-store sessions, visit Apple’s website. Sessions will complete quickly, so check back often. In Store Today at Apple sessions are still on hiatus outside Australia and Asia, but you can check out Apple’s New World series for virtual events through April 22.
