In the capital of China, Beijing, the first snow fell. Heavy snowfall began on Sunday night, November 7, the agency reports. Xinhua.

The snowfall continued on Sunday, which coincided with the beginning of the Lidun season (The Beginning of Winter) – one of the 24 seasons of the traditional agricultural calendar, the publications notes.

Snowfall covered Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Shanxi and Hebei provinces, Liaoning and Jilin provinces in northeastern China, Shandong province in eastern China, and Henan in central China.

In some places, up to 300 mm of snow fell.

The temperature dropped to three degrees below zero. Residents were advised not to leave the house unnecessarily.

And in Ukraine the first snow fell on 22 September… In the Carpathians, the air temperature dropped to 4 degrees below zero.

We add that in Kiev recorded first temperature record of autumn… Friday night was the warmest in the capital in 141 years of meteorological observations. The temperature did not drop below +12.
