The sixth episode of Pechino Express 2024 is approaching and with it a new round of emotions, unexpected events and challenges. The appointment is scheduled for this evening at 9.35pm TV8where six pairs of contestants will embark on an exciting adventure from Luang Prabang a VientianeIn the Laos. With a travel distance of 420 kilometers and different tests to face, participants are called to demonstrate all their cunning and resilience. Leading this journey, as usual, will be Costantino della Gherardesca and the special correspondent Fruwho will guide couples through a series of tests that could decide the fate of their participation.
The couples of Beijing Express 2024 and the new challenges
In this sixth episode, the pairs of contestants will resume their journey from the previous stage, the hosting of Luang Prabang. The tension is palpable, as the latest winners, Estefania Bernal e Antonella Fiordelisithey will have the opportunity to give a penalty to two of the other couples, creating a competitive context full of adrenaline. This stage is particularly crucial, as it precedes the entry of the competitors into the final context of the journey: Sri Lanka. Here, all couples will head along the Dragon’s Routethe theme of this edition.
One of the most intriguing elements of this episode is the changing dynamic between the couples. In fact, at the beginning of the stage, the competitors will be “broken”, meaning the couples will be separated for part of the journey, forcing them to compete independently and demonstrate their true abilities. Each couple is called to reach the Kok Ngiew Templefacing a series of tests, including a fascinating balance challenge. The pairs will be divided as follows: Antonella Fiordelisi ed Eleonora Caressa, Antonio Orefici e Barbara Petrillo, Artem e Megan Ria, Fabio Caressa e Damiano, Maddalena Corvaglia e Maddalena Svevi, Massimiliano Carrara ed Estefania Bernal. It will be interesting to see how each of them reacts to this stressful start.
Missions to face in the heart of Laos
The first mission of the evening will put the competitors in front of an extraordinary physical and mental test. They will have to carry a long bamboo cane with a bell, made from unexploded bombs found in Laoswithout making it play. Each mistake will cost them a minute and a half to wait, making it essential for progress in the game. To increase the tension, upon arrival, the couples will have to ring a gong before they can continue their journey.
Immediately after, the second mission will take the contestants to a challenge of 15 kilometers by bicycle, in the area of Vang Viengwhere everyone will have to choose between a traditional bicycle and a mountain bike. The ultimate goal is to reach the Red Booka meeting point that will determine the possibility of accessing an advantage test for the first three couples to arrive. The combination of speed and strategy will be crucial to advance in games.
Special guests and extreme culinary tests
To make the sixth episode even more interesting will be the presence of special guests: Maria Rosa Petolicchio e Dario Vergassolaalready known to the public of Pechino Express 2023. Their introduction as a new pair of competitors will further complicate the game scenario. Each competitor will have one hour to reach the finish line and, most importantly, they do not have to arrive at the same time as Snails: the risk of elimination becomes tangible.
The last mission of the evening will take place in the market of Tong Mangwhere the contestants will meet the famous “7 Monsters of Beijing Express”. Here, each participant will be asked to spin a wheel to discover which unusual foods they will have to taste, such as fried duck bill, giant crickets and cow placenta, before continuing their race. Only if the wheel stops on an empty segment will the competitors be able to skip the test. Once the cooking challenge is complete, the couples will head to the Red Carpetwhere a new elimination battle will take place.
Experience advantage and fight for survival
On the program, between the second and third mission, there is the prove advantagewhich promises to give a further shake-up to the final ranking. The first three couples competing will compete in an obstacle course mainly in water. One member of each pair will have to swim to a wooden tower, performing several steps until they reach the finish line. Each circle touched will represent a volume of water to be poured into a jar, held in the hand of the other member of the couple. The challenge is based on resistance: if the jar tips over, the couple incurs penalties.
At the end of the stage, as per tradition, Costantino della Gherardesca will start the crucial moment: the opening of the black envelope which will determine whether the stage will have elimination repercussions, making the evening even more full of anticipation and suspense. The emotions and tensions that distinguish the format will take to the stage, while the audience anxiously awaits the fate of the couples and the continuation of their exciting adventure.
