Beijing admits that a rocket carrying 18 satellites crashed

The Chinese Long March 6A rocket, which was launched to launch 18 satellites into orbit, broke into hundreds of pieces as a result of the explosion. About this reports Bloomberg regarding the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The group notes that Chinese state media did not report the rocket accident, but the information was discussed on social networks and popular websites. Later, in a conversation with Bloomberg, a spokesperson from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs admitted that the rocket had fallen apart.

Long March 6A was launched on August 6 to launch 18 Internet satellites to an altitude of about 800 km. Slingshot Aerospace, which monitors objects in orbit, called the rocket accident. According to the US Air Force, it broke up into about 300 pieces.

Bloomberg notes that the rocket crash was “one of the largest sources of space debris in decades.” The Chinese Foreign Ministry assured that Beijing is paying close attention to the fight against space debris.
