Beiersdorf recruits Grita Loebsack from EssilorLuxottica to lead Nivea

Beiersdorf AG has announced the appointment of screams Loebsack, 51 years old, as a member of the group’s management board with effect from January 2022. She will occupy the functions of president of Nivea, and will be responsible, as such, for the development of the brand on a global level. Grita Loebsack previously held the position of Essilor’s Marketing Director within the EssilorLuxottica group.

German by origin, Grita Loebsack has extensive experience in skin care and international brand development acquired at Essilor, Unilever and L’Oréal. She started her career in strategic consulting. In 1996, she joined L’Oréal, where she held various positions for 16 years, notably as Director of International Skin Care Marketing at L’Oréal Paris and Managing Director of the Vichy brand. In 2012, she joined Unilever as Executive Vice President in charge of the international skincare category, before heading the “Luxury, Couture and Leather Goods, Emerging Brands” division of Kering. She was then appointed Marketing Director and member of the Essilor Executive Committee.

She graduated from the London School of Economics (Bachelor of Science in 1991) and from INSEAD (MBA in 1995). Thanks to her international background (Brazil, Argentina, Philippines, United Kingdom and France), she speaks five languages.
