In order to make use of the time of the participants behind the scenes, some spend it in a game of chess. Chess was brought along by a participant with the stage name Kapteinis Reinis. His wife gave it to him for Christmas. Knowing how much time he had to spend at the Cinema Studio during the selections, Reinis knew that this time he could not come to the filming without a chess board. Thus providing entertainment for other participants as well.
Chess has been played and the activity of the participants can be heard in the background, which suggests that it is time for cheeky questions. In cooperation with Creditea, ten questions have been prepared for the participants, which they must be able to answer as quickly and honestly as possible. This time the participants will have to answer such questions as – where can one find the other half, how far is it from Riga to Jelgava, which is better – breasts or bottoms and which song according to the participants should not be sung?
Backstage, Linda meets the boy band “Pianist’s Vacation”, whose costume designer is, as they say, the band’s trumpeter. The costumes are gorgeous and put together to look matching on stage. The guys discover that the character is carefully planned for each shoot. Even some items of clothing are rented for a certain period of time or bought specially for the specific day and event.
Also this time, as usual, “Extra Factor” is visited by one of the previous participants of “X Factor”. Artūrs Gruzdiņš, the charming and winner of the first “X Factor” show. Arthur has changed his visual image because he is currently working in connection with the children’s music album program “Safety Festival”. The winner of the first show reminisces about his time at the Film Studio and reveals that “The X Factor” is one of the greatest adventures of his life. Linda together with “airBaltic” has prepared a task for Artūrs – he has to recognize the object hidden in the box by touch and guess which city or country Linda was thinking of when she put the object there. It was quick to remember the subject, but this time it is not so easy to remember the country and city.
In the premises of the film studio, Linda meets Krišjāni, an actor whose strength lies in his long hair. Krišjānis is reading a book backstage. As Linda found out, it is a book in English and Krišjānis reads in English every day. However, the book is not the only thing that Krišjānis took with him – the bag contains an I-pod, headphones, a pen with which Linda got the first participant’s signature on her hand and much more.

However, this episode does not end with an autograph on the arm, as the moment has arrived where two specially selected participants will share their stories of failure. Patricia and Just have to tell the biggest failures of their lives and the best story will win a prize from our supporters “VALIO”. Who will receive the award will be determined by a neutral expert – the person behind the camera. This time the winner is Just with the story of how his pants fell during the concert.
Of course, everything comes to an end and everyone, including Intara Busuli, has chosen their three members with whom they will continue the battle on the show. Intars is self-confident and very satisfied with his team, only adding that there is a risk factor in the selection, but you can take risks in this show.
The members of the jury have found their teams and in a week you will meet the participants in the first live show, where the battle will become more and more intense. And in five weeks we will find out – which of these participants will get their X Factor.
