Gerry is not sure whether the image is a design from the new airline. “I think the form that is uploaded is still a concept and not a guarantee that the airline will fly with a livery like that,” said Gerry.

As is well known, Lion Air is a company owned by brothers Rusdi Kirana and Kusnan Kirana. However, even though until now the company has not issued a statement, many parties have questioned the brothers’ steps, because they will launch a new airline in the midst of an unstable aviation business due to the corona pandemic.

Rusdi Kirana See Expansion Opportunities in the Pandemic Period?

Gerry agreed that the flight situation was dire. However, he said, this condition does not mean that companies will not see opportunities for expansion

“The fastest is the end of 2020 or the end of the first quarter of 2021. What’s wrong with getting ready for expansion?” said Gerry.

According to him, it was not only the Lion Air Group that took this step. He said Rex Air in Australia also announced that it would expand its routes between major cities in Australia.

“(Rex) uses a jet aircraft and has signed a lease, for his 737 aircraft to arrive starting in November and service the jet starting in March 2021. Australia itself has also had a slump in the domestic market due to this pandemic, “said Gerry.
