Manchester United made another brilliant comeback, this time at home West Ham United. The Red Devils won 3-1.
In the match at the London Olympic Stadium, Sunday (6/12/2020) in the morning WIB, West Ham took the lead in the first half through Tomas Soucek in the 38th minute.
However, MU then got up in the second half to then score three goals through Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford. Three points led the Red Devils to climb to fourth place in the Premier League standings with 19 points from 10 matches, two points from the top.
Meanwhile, West Ham are in seventh position with 17 points.
The course of the match
Just two minutes into the game, West Ham almost broke into the MU net if Dean Henderson didn’t block Pablo Fornals’ shot in front of goal.
Jarrod Bowen was able to score in the ninth minute in a one-on-one situation with Henderson. However, the goal was disallowed because Bowen was caught offside when he received a through ball.
West Ham did lose possession but they were more effective in creating opportunities. While the three MU attackers, Edinson Cavani, Mason Grenwood, and Anthony Martial, find it difficult to get a chance.
In the 32nd minute, Fornals had another chance. Beginning with Bowen’s action by passing two MU players, the Fornals sent a crossing and headed the ball but the ball was wide.
Three minutes later the Manchester United defense was easily overtaken by Bowen and found Sebastian Haller who headed towards Fornals. Kick fired into the corner but Henderson was able to brush it off.
MU’s goal finally broke in the 38th minute, Tomas Soucek who became the scorer. From the Fornals corner, Rice headed the ball at the near post and found Soucek, who was free to cheat it into the net.

United’s first golden opportunity came in the 43rd minute when Telles and Anthony Martial exchanged passes on the left. Lukas Fabianski swiftly brushed it off.
The 1-0 score lasted until drinking.
In the second half, MU enter Bruno Fernandes to sharpen the attack line to replace Donny van de Beek, and Marcus Rashford to replace Edinson Cavani. The entry of Fernandes and Rashford made United sharper, able to create three chances in just 10 minutes.
West Ham nearly doubled their lead in the 52nd minute if Bowen’s shot at the far post didn’t go wide.
MU was finally able to equalize in the 65th minute when Fernandes got a long pass from Henderson on the right. Fernandes made a cut-inside and sent feedback to Pogba who was greeted by a first time kick from outside the penalty box and lodged in the top left corner.
Three minutes later, MU turned 2-1 ahead by Mason Greenwood. Fernandes opened the way for Telles through a backheel feed and the Brazilian defender fired a cross into the penalty box. Greenwood easily kicks it on goal.

Fernandes made up for the West Ham defense. In the 72nd minute, his through ball set Rashford free in one-on-one due. Unfortunately, the ball hit the post.
Rashford! The England national team attacker made MU lead 3-1 in the 78th minute. Juan Mata put the ball in for Rashford who easily finished it with a chip kick past Fabianski’s strike.

Henderson made a save when he brushed off Aaron Creswell’s free kick in the 84th minute. West Ham vs MU duel still finished 3-1 for the visitors.
