Following an agreement signed in December 2022 between the town hall of Colomiers and Tisséo Ingénierie (the part of Tisséo in charge of the works), a first campaign to plant 71 trees began on Thursday February 2 in the vicinity of the future terminus “Colomiers station of metro line C.
Following this agreement, the city of Colomiers will receive, plant and water two thirds of the trees (150) for three years. Tisseo Ingénierie will take care of planting a third of the trees (70). These plantations will be located in hot spots, at the edge of the roads or in reinforcement in wooded areas but especially in a perimeter of 1km around the metro stations in Colomiers.
Eventually, Tisséo announces that it wants to plant 5,000 trees, i.e. three times the number of trees removed by the metro project. The Sicoval and the town halls of Toulouse and Blagnac have each signed an agreement to take care of part of the plantations of these 5,000 trees from this winter.
