Before is a psychological thriller in ten episodes which above all allows, and this is no small thing, to rediscover the excellent Billy Crystalan actor who has been under-demanded for many years (and who was truly brilliant in sentimental comedy When Harry Met Sally). The trailer oscillates between intimate drama and pure horror: “After the recent loss of his wife, a child psychiatrist meets a troubled young boy who seems to have a troubling link to the doctor’s past. » Billy Crystal plays the child psychiatrist with a troubled past and Jacobi Jupe the child with strange (not to mention dangerous) behavior.
In addition to Billy Crystal and Jacobi Lupe, the cast includes Judith Light, Rosie Perez, Maria Dizzia and Ava Lalezarzadeh. The series was created by Sarah Thorp, who also serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer. Billy Crystal is also an executive producer on the series. Note that the series is produced by Paramount Television Studios… which closed its doors very recently. Before is therefore one of the very latest programs produced by this studio.
