You bought a smartphone Realme 8 in the lowest memory variant, and now you’re tearing your hair out at this choice, as you are limited by low RAM when opening more applications? Don’t worry, Realme allows you to increase your RAM capacity for free. How is that even possible?
Just a click and the RAM is doubled
The Realme 8 smartphone is currently receiving a firmware update called RMX3085_11.A.19, which fixes several bugs, optimizes system performance and adds a security patch package from July this year. Undoubtedly, the biggest novelty of the update is the support of the Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) function, thanks to which it is possible to increase the operating memory of this phone. How does it work?
It’s as simple as virtual RAM as a dedicated part of system storage. It may not be as fast as physically present RAM, but you will appreciate its presence in an emergency. You just have to come to terms with the fact that your internal storage will shrink. We do not yet know what capacity increase Realme 8 will offer, 5G however, the variant of this phone allows expansion by 2, 3 or 5 GB. The increase can be made in Settings – About phone – RAM.
The last model in the series that DRE does not know yet is Realme 8 Pro, however, support was also promised for him, albeit without a time frame for the time being.
