In fact, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Anshul Garg held a joint review meeting with officials of security agencies in Katra, after which instructions were given to increase security. During Navratri, security forces will be deployed at every nook and corner from Vaishno Devi Marg to the temple. This time Navratri will start from 15th October and continue till 23rd October. Generally, a manifold increase is seen in the crowd of pilgrims during Navratri.

While presiding over the meeting, Garg reviewed the security and operational preparedness of the pilgrimage area for a hassle-free pilgrimage before the start of ‘Shardiya’ Navratri, officials said. Garg called for action on various fronts for hassle-free pilgrimage during the upcoming festival.
