Before exercising, heart health is very important to note

JAKARTA – Solid routine is not a reason not to sport . According to the American Heart Association, adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week.

Regular exercise and done properly proven heart healthy . However, in order for the exercise to be more beneficial, it is important for you to do it regularly check-up heart to prevent cardiac arrest.

“Heart health must be considered before exercising in order to reduce the risk of cardiac arrest during exercise. That’s why it’s important to do a heart check-up,” said Cardiologist and Vascular Mayapada Hospital Tangerang, dr. Aron Husink, SpJP(K), in his press statement, Friday (13/1/2023).

The heart check-up in question can be in the form of a treadmill test which is a way of checking the heart to prepare it in prime condition when exercising in general.

“Check-up heart treadmill test will see how far you can exercise and the need for the right type of exercise, before deciding you want to exercise intensely,” he said.

The type of exercise must be adjusted to the condition of one’s body and health. Even so, in general, exercise can improve your body’s immunity and body fitness, so you don’t get sick easily or get sick with viruses.

However, there is a risk of injury due to a lack of understanding of sports movements or your own physical condition. Again, the important role of heart check-up and consultation with a doctor is important here to minimize unwanted conditions.

“It would be very good if before exercising to consult with a doctor to make sure you are safe from injury,” explained the Mayapada Hospital South Jakarta Sports Medicine Specialist, dr. Typhoon Favian Reyhan, SpKO.
