Unfortunately, Polish viewers who went to see the film experienced an unpleasant surprise during their visit to the cinema. In one of the scenes, the main character played by Ortega recalls Maria Skłodowska-Curie and it would be a pleasant mention for Polish viewers, if it were not for the fact that the Polish Nobel Prize winner was called “a French physicist”.

This extremely unfortunate mistake has already been met with a well-deserved wave of criticism, especially in Poland, where Skłodowska-Curie is one of the most recognizable figures. Although the Nobel Prize winner actually spent part of her life in France and made breakthrough discoveries in the field of chemistry and physics, its origin is clearly Polish. Maria Curie-Skłodowska was born in Warsaw, and her connection with her homeland was extremely strong.
