For many football fans, a cool, refreshing beer is part of a visit to the stadium. But where is the beer most expensive? PULS 24 has tested all 12 teams in the Austrian Bundesliga to create a ranking for the 2024/25 season.
The Bundesliga beer table*:
*The figures refer to a large beer (0.5l) without deposit.
This means that Upper Austria can at least boast about the Beer price championship – but not fans of LASK, but the smaller, blue and white, club from Linz.
The ranking of the Bratwurst prices shows a different picture.
The Bundesliga sausage table:
- 1. TSV Hartberg – 6,00 Euro
- 1. Austria Klagenfurt – 6,00 Euro
- 1. WSG Tyrol – 6,00 Euro
- 2. Rapid Vienna – 5,80 Euro
- 3. WAC – 5,50 Euro
- 4. Austria Vienna – 5,40 Euro
- 5. BW Linz – 5,00 Euro
- 6. SHOT – 4,90 Euro
- 7. SCR Altach – 4,80 Euro
- 8. Storm Graz – 4,50 Euro
- 8. Red Bull Salzburg – 4,50 Euro
-
8. NO – 4,50 Euro
However, bratwurst prices are not as comparable as beer. On the one hand, one sausage may not be as big as another’s. But in some cases they are simply different products.
At WSG Tirol there is about one “Bratwurst roll in a bread roll”at Austria Klagenfurt a “Riesenbratwurst” and at LASK a modest “Frankfurter”Most clubs told PULS 24 that the sausage comes with pastries.
Cash or by card?
And how does the payment process work in the stadium? The PULS 24 inquiry to all 12 Bundesliga clubs revealed: In some stadiums, cash is no longer accepted. In ten stadiums, cashless payments are possible – that is, with all common debit and credit cards as well as payment systems via smartphone.
Only with TSV Hartberg and the SK Austria Klagenfurt Cash is still king. Currently, only cash payments are possible there, PULS 24 was told. In Hartberg, however, work is being done to enable ATM payments in the future.
