The idea of celebrating beer arose in a small bar located in Santa Cruz, California, in the United States in 2008.

In other countries there are other dates on which this drink is celebrated. In Germany, it is celebrated on April 23rdwhile in the United States, National Beer Day is celebrated every 5th of April.

International Beer Day is a worldwide celebration of this drink. Traditionally, pubs, breweries, and bars celebrate this day with full establishments.

Origin of the word beer

There are several theories about the origin of the word “beer”. The most popular one refers to the Roman goddess Ceres, of agriculture and fertility.
