/ world today news/ Bee Gees vocalist Robin Gibb died on Sunday at the age of 62 after a long illness, the world media reported.
In the last few months, the singer was admitted to a London hospital because of an oncological disease aggravated by pneumonia. Gibb was reported to have passed out and then emerged from a coma, but was unable to speak.Robin, along with his brothers Barry and Maurice, founded The Bee Gees, who were at the height of their fame in the 1960s and 1970s. A number of their songs such as “How Deep Is Your Love”, “Stayin’ Alive” and “Night Fever” became eternal disco hits. Garth Brooks and Paul McCartney have sold more albums than the Bee Gees.
