Bedolla celebrates support from Congress to donate land where the IMSS hospital will be built

Morelia, Michoacán, July 29, 2022.- Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla celebrated the decision of local deputies to disincorporate a property located in Atapaneo, and advance in the construction project of a new General Hospital of the Mexican Institute of Social Security ( IMSS) in Villas del Pedregal.

“I recognize the commitment and responsibility of the deputies who privileged the right to health of the Michoacanos. With this we advance considerably in the project of the new hospital that will be located in Villas del Pedregal”, said the state president.

The foregoing, after the State Congress approved the disincorporation of the property located in Atapaneo, which will be exchanged for three other assets that are located on the Morelia – Quiroga highway, as well as the authorization of the donation of such land to the IMSS.

The new hospital will have 36 specialties, 260 beds and, in addition to guaranteeing the attention and health care of the beneficiaries of Morelia and various municipalities, it will be a source of employment for 2,500 people, including medical and administrative personnel.

Bedolla Ramírez endorsed his commitment to continue working to improve the quality of health services in the entity and to continue strengthening the state’s hospital infrastructure, for the benefit of Michoacans.
