Bedford man’s body found inside trunk of burning car

Two adults and a teenager are facing criminal charges after the body of a Bedford man was found in a burning vehicle in East Texas.

Kameron Andersen, 20, was lured from Dallas-Fort Worth last week to where he was shot multiple times and his body was then driven across several county lines, according to local authorities.

Nathaniel Hall, 18, Jasmine Williams, 21 — who are in a relationship — and a 16-year-old boy whose name will not be released because of his age, each face one count of murder in connection with Andersen’s death, sheriffs announced.

On the morning of Sept. 1, Rusk County sheriff’s deputies and firefighters responded to a call of a vehicle fire at the intersection of County Roads 4132 and 4135 near Turnertown, where they discovered Andersen’s body in the trunk of a sedan after the fire had been put out, deputies said. An autopsy determined the victim had been shot multiple times.

Local authorities and the Texas Rangers division eventually identified Nathaniel Hall as the primary suspect and determined the killing occurred at Hall’s home in Troup before the body was placed in the trunk of the vehicle, driven several miles and then set on fire, police said.

During the investigation, several shell casings and bullets were found outside Hall’s home in Troup.

Officers questioned Hall’s relatives and witnesses who said they overheard conversations in which three suspects were planning a robbery, according to authorities.

Hall, who also faces other criminal charges from prior offenses, is being held on $2.8 million bail.

Williams turned himself in to police two days after Andersen’s murder and is facing a $1 million bond.

The teen was arrested and is being held at the Smith County Juvenile Detention Center.
