“It came out by accident. On January 1, 2019, I woke up with a terrible hangover – it was wonderful to drink champagne on the Eastern border on New Year’s Eve, but the morning was terrible, and this has always been typical of me. Then I couldn’t look at alcohol for a while, then I got sick and used antibiotics until February came in. And in February my friend Māris Gailis does not drink because he chose the shortest month of the year as the month of sobriety.

I decided to show solidarity, two months passed, and – I realized that I can not drink alcohol!

Before that I had moved to New Zealand Marlboro valleys Sauvignon blanc, and I drank two bottles by the glass a week. And they weren’t the cheapest wines! I decided to try not to drink, but I didn’t set any deadlines for myself, and that’s why I don’t drink alcohol anymore,” reveals Verhoustinska.
