Becoming a suspect, Ridwan Kamil’s brother-in-law is detained by the KPK

MerahPutih.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) immediately detained a member of the West Java (West Java) Provincial DPRD for the 2014-2019 period Siti Aisyah Tuti Handayani and a member of the West Java Provincial DPRD for the 2019-2024 period Ade Barkah Surahman.

Siti Asiyah is the brother-in-law of West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil. He was detained after being named a suspect in a bribery case related to the administration of assistance funds for the Province of Indramayu Regency for the 2017-2019 fiscal year.

“KPK investigators detained the two suspects each for the first 20 days from April 15, 2021 to May 4, 2021,” said KPK Deputy Chairman Lili Pintauli at the KPK building, Jakarta, Thursday (15/4).

Lili said that Siti Aisyah and Ade Barkah would languish at the KPK Branch Detention Center (Rutan), the Red and White House.

“Each of the suspects was detained at the Red and White House KPK branch detention center,” said Lili.

The determination of the suspects against the two West Java legislators was a development of the case that ensnared the former Regent of Indramayu Supendi.

Ade Barkah allegedly received Rp750 million from a private party called Carsa ES. Carsa himself was sentenced to 2 years in prison in 2020 because he was proven to have bribed Supendi.

Meanwhile, Siti Aisyah allegedly received Rp1.05 billion from Abdul Rozak Muslim, who has been named a suspect in this case and has been undergoing trial as a defendant. The Rp1.05 billion is part of the Rp9.2 billion that Rozak received from Carsa.

The money was given so that Ade Barkah and Siti Aisyah ensure that the proposal for submitting West Java provincial financial assistance funds for road improvement activities to the PUPR Office of Indramayu Regency was fought for by Ade as deputy chairman of the West Java Provincial DPRD and Rozak as a member of the West Java Provincial DPRD.

“Carsa ES has received several road improvement and rehabilitation works from the 2017-2019 fiscal year, which comes from West Java Province assistance with a total value of around Rp160.9 billion,” said Lili. (Mon)
