Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office Dr.dr.Hj.Reihana, M.Kes.–
MEDIALAMPUNG.CO.ID – Previously the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) made six provinces as pilots for giving antivirals to pregnant women, one of which was in Lampung Province which would be implemented at Abdul Moeloek Regional General Hospital (RSUDAM) Waykandis Health Center, and Bandarlampung City Gedong Air Health Center.
The designation of pilot areas was stated in the Decree of the Minister of Health Number HK.01.07/MENKES/15/2023 concerning Pilot Administration of Antivirus to Pregnant Women to Prevent Hepatitis B Virus Transmission from Mother to Child.
In response to this, the Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office Dr.dr.Hj.Reihana, M.Kes., said preparations had already been made.
“As a pilot area for hepatitis B antiviral administration for pregnant women, preparations have been made,” he said when questioned at Balai Keratun, Friday (13/1).

“Vaccine logistic preparations for hepatitis vaccination for pregnant women are being prepared, then health service facilities designated to be pilots are also being prepared,” he continued.
He continued, with three health service facilities serving as pilots for giving hepatitis B antivirals to pregnant women, it is hoped that these vaccinations will later expand to other health care facilities and regencies in Lampung.
“The administration of the hepatitis vaccine other than to pregnant women has been continuously carried out, and for administration to pregnant women it is hoped that this can be extended to health care facilities or other areas. Maybe at this time because it is still a pilot, so few will administer the antiviral,” he explained.
He continued, his party is also preparing vaccinators who are experts in their fields.
“Hopefully it can go well, and vaccinators who are experts in their fields have also been prepared to provide hepatitis B antiviral to pregnant women here,” he concluded.*
