Become a volunteer in the service of the less fortunate

Under the combined effect of the post-storm Covid-19, the energy crisis and inflation, the associations working for the social emergency have seen their number decrease. However, the demands of the public have increased. Invoke goodwill.

The ordeal of the Covid-19 pandemic had led to a tremendous wave of solidarity, which saw new people giving their time to support our most exposed fellow citizens: people on the street, isolated elderly, families in precarious situation.

After this spontaneous mobilization, the souffle subsided. Usury phenomenon, and a sort of unconscious relaxation (the coronavirus still circulates but we have learned to live with it). The climate of tension has left the health front to gain economic ground. The cost of living continues to rise, which further weakens troubled populations.

Consequently, associations in the world of social emergency need weapons to meet their growing demands. They ask for the strengthening of Rouennaises and Rouennais volunteers engaged in the mutual aid service. The Municipality sends the message.

We are therefore invited to join the ranks of associations that deal with community actions in favor of the homeless (approach known as “Macadam and Co”): L’Autobus Samusocial de Rouen, the Red Cross, the Restos del cuore, SHMA , Doctors of the World, MAJK, Solidarity Coup de Patte.
