The actor twice faced the betrayal of the closest.
He would like to call himself lucky Igor Nefedov. The actor’s father knew Oleg Tabakov, with whom he agreed to bring his heir to his theater studio. The director made only one condition: he must see the talent in the boy.
Tabakov was amazed by Nefedov’s abilities and contributed in every way to the development of his career. Over time, the artist completely became Oleg Pavlovich’s favorite, whom he never disappointed. When Igor was 25, his name was entered in the Encyclopedia of Soviet Cinema, and few were honored with such a fate.
Fans followed Nefedov on his heels: the artist was forced to fall asleep and wake up, hearing their screams under his window. To leave the house and remain unrecognized, he put on his hood and black glasses. Soon his popularity turned the actor’s head spinning and he began to agree to work only with such eminent directors as Mikhalkov or Prokhorov.
Star disease has led to disastrous consequences. In the 1990s, when, against the backdrop of a crisis in cinema, the actor was particularly in need of roles, those directors whom he once rejected no longer wanted to invite him to their projects.
The situation was exacerbated by the failed personal life of a celebrity. The first wife left Nefedov for another, after which he became addicted to alcohol. Due to the fact that the artist constantly skipped rehearsals, he was expelled from the theater. He married again, but the second wife did not tolerate the actor’s binges and soon left him for a new lover.
The actor tried to return his wife, but in vain. As a result, he fell into such despair that he committed suicide. When Nefedov died, he was only 33 years old.
