Emil Audero Mulyadi is not sure if he will join the Indonesian national team because he is still sure that he will be called up by the Italian national team.
The Sampdoria goalkeeper who was born in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, is the fourth descendant that PSSI has tried to approach for naturalization.
According to Exco PSSI Hasani Abdulgani, his envoy agent met Emil in Italy on Wednesday (2/3) night European time, but the goalkeeper was still unable to answer his offer to defend Garuda.

What does it say?
“The manager said that Emil Audero Mulyadi still believes he can be selected for the Italian national team,” Hasani Abdulgani told reporters. BallSport.
“I think it’s true because he really wants to play for the Italian national team.”
Will Emil Audero Mulyadi be called up to the Italian national team?
Hasani Abdulgani doubts that the goalkeeper who graduated from the Juventus academy will be called up by The Azzurri.
Even though he has defended Italy from U15 to U21 levels, Emil Audero Mulyadi will be competing with other goalkeepers.
“Among managers in Italy, Emil Audero Mulyadi will not be selected for the Italian national team because there are many competitors,” added the PSSI Exco.
“And according to my friend who is an agent for PSSI, the goalkeepers in Italy are doing very well.”
Still waiting
Despite getting a less positive response, Hasani Abdulgani still intends to wait for confirmation from Emil Audero Mulyadi.
If the 25-year-old goalkeeper is not interested, he and PSSI will immediately shift their focus to Jordi Wehrmann.
“Well maybe we’ll wait until tonight or tomorrow morning.”
