“The actions of the Ukrainian government aimed at the deal, through the European Commission, are outrageous,” Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto wrote on his Facebook account.
“Ukraine has nothing to do with those who made the deal,” he said Russia Today, Tuesday (28/9/2021).
He stated that Budapest views Kiev’s measures as a violation of its sovereignty and national security interests.
Budapest accused Ukraine of interfering in the political decisions of its sovereignty after Kiev denounced the arrangement as a decision made only to serve Moscow’s interests.

The deal will see about half of the country’s annual gas supply transported via the Balkans and Austria. Effective Friday, the new arrangement will cost Kien millions in transit costs.
Ukraine’s top gas executive Sergey Makogon called the deal a further example of the Kremlin’s attitude towards its neighbors. Meanwhile the country’s Foreign Minister claimed that taking business elsewhere was detrimental to Ukraine’s national interests and was not an economically justified decision but made to purely please the Kremlin.
However, the Hungarian Foreign Minister countered that Ukraine was only interfering in his country’s internal affairs.
