Lessons further restricted
With regard to teaching, the music schools quickly adapted to the new challenge after the complete lockdown in spring and alternative teaching and rehearsal forms were developed, as the VSMG writes. Certain appearances were held online and distributed that way.
Even with the return to face-to-face teaching, the difficulties have not been overcome. Furthermore, music lessons are only possible with restrictions and in compliance with protective measures. Exceptions are children and young people up to the age of 16. According to the VMS, lessons for individuals are also possible for learners of all ages. In contrast, there is a general ban on choir activities.
As the VMS writes, certain restrictions can be compensated by remote offers. However, more creative solutions are needed if the situation persists or worsens. The VSMG therefore also needs public support in terms of infrastructure and financial aid. After all, musical education should also be available to everyone in the future. This is exactly what should be pointed out on November 7th.
