Compensation for business due to expensive electricity can be stopped. The state has not yet decided whether it will compensate the business after April due to the expensive electricity that the companies buy on the stock exchange, the Minister of Energy Alexander Nikolov told BNR.
According to him, the question of when such assistance is needed is debatable.
“Speaking of compensations while maintaining high prices, I think they are applicable and necessary during the autumn-winter season, as it has been so far,” the minister said.
Compensation for businesses due to expensive electricity, although delayed and limited, was the cabinet’s only measure against high inflation. Dropping them can only lead to further price increasessaid financiers, quoted by “Trud”.
“There is a very serious interest in new nuclear facilities, the topic is being discussed, so it is only a matter of time before it happens,” the minister added.
According to him, it is more logical new nuclear power plant to be built at Kozloduy NPP.
