The sixth electrical unit of the Kozloduy nuclear power plant has been disconnected from the country’s electricity grid, the nuclear power plant reports. The reason is a glitch in the cooling system of the generator, the non-nuclear part of the unit. There are no changes in the radiation situation.
Just a day ago, the annual scheduled sixth block repair was completed, which started on October 29 at 12:52 pm, but was shut down at 9:00 pm.
The nuclear power plant service teams are taking all necessary actions to eliminate the problem and to include the unit in the energy system, the power plant says.
