A small Alnwick brewery in Northumberland in the UK has announced that it will distribute its beer to everyone. About this writes BBC News.
The company brews beer for bottling in pubs and bars, and they are now closed due to quarantine. Such a beer has a short shelf life, only a few weeks, so that it would not disappear, the brewery decided to simply distribute it. There are only two conditions for getting beer – come with your container and donate any amount to the National Health Service.
As co-owner of the brewery Jan Robinson said, people come for beer with completely different containers – someone arrives in a car with several 20-liter cans, and someone just comes with a Coca-Cola bottle.
Alnwick handed out beer every Friday – the company raised 450 pounds in donations over the previous two Fridays.
